how to divy up posts?
I've been pondering something for a little while now. I'd originally intended for this to be our family blog. A place where I could eventually post things about pregnancies, babies, children... just general life. But I find my posts more leaning towards sewing topics or home ec-type topics and I can't decide if I should post those on my old quilting blog, or here or start a new blog (or an old one I never used, to be more accurate). Where to put things like desserts I baked, a set of vinyl zippered bags I sewed, or a great gift I made. Hmmm.... Anyone have any input?

I say keep it all on the same blog. Once you have kids, they permeate every aspect of your life anyway. When you cook things, they'll want to help (and there's a photo op). Or when you sew, you'll make things for them that they'll then model. I would think it'd be more complicated to try to separate everything out. I have a friend who keeps multiple blogs and she often just ends up saying the same things twice. It seems redundant to me. I say keep it simple. :-)
ReplyDeleteI see your point. My concern is what happens when my quilter friends or my cookie decorating friends want to follow my blog but don't give a crap about my child's developmental progress? Most of the blogs I follow are single-topic, so I don't have any model to follow.
